About The Upper Room Outreach Ministries, Inc.

Our History

Established in 2004, The Upper Room Outreach Ministries, Inc. is a non-denominational Christian ministry dedicated to outreach, evangelism, discipleship, and spiritual transformation. Since transitioning to full-time outreach ministry in 2009, The Upper Room has remained committed to reaching a lost, hurting, and dying world with the love and truth of Jesus Christ.

Our ministry focuses on sharing the Gospel, serving communities, strengthening believers, and promoting unity within the Body of Christ.

Leadership

Samuel Sellers III and Renae Sellers were ordained and installed into ministry leadership in 2013 by Apostle James H. Brown. In 2017, The Upper Room came under the spiritual oversight of Apostle Terry Weems, Sr. through Obadiah's Ecclesiastical Alliance.

Together, they actively serve their local community through ministry, outreach, leadership development, counseling, and educational initiatives. Both also serve on the Board of Directors for the Woman at the Well Transition Center.

Victorious Living Bible Institute

Founded on July 25, 2017, Victorious Living Bible Institute (VLBI) is a faith-based accredited Bible college affiliated with the Christian Bible Institute and Seminary. Under the leadership of President Renae Sellers, VLBI provides Christ-centered education, leadership development, ministry training, and personal growth opportunities designed to equip individuals for effective Kingdom service.

Today, VLBI serves students throughout the United States and abroad through online and in-person educational programs.

Samuel Sellers III

Senior Pastor

Samuel Sellers III is a pastor, counselor, educator, and community leader with a passion for helping people grow spiritually and live victoriously. He entered ministry in 2008 and was ordained and installed as Pastor in 2013.

A graduate of Waycross High School and the Practical Christianity Institute of Evangelism, he completed ecclesiastical studies in biblical counseling and theology. He is also a Board-Certified Christian Counselor through the National Association of Christian Counselors.

In 2017, Samuel co-founded Victorious Living Bible Institute. Under his leadership, VLBI expanded internationally with the launch of VLBI Kenya in 2019. He also serves as co-founder of Mercy Seat International, a global outreach ministry serving underserved communities, particularly in Kenya.

His ministry extends beyond the church walls through prison outreach, community service, leadership development, and youth mentorship. He has received numerous community and faith-based recognitions for his service and leadership.

Above all, Samuel is a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose life reflects a commitment to faith, family, and service.

Renae Sellers

Ministering Elder

Renae Sellers is an educator, counselor, coach, author, and ministry leader dedicated to helping individuals heal, grow, and discover their God-given purpose.

She holds degrees in psychology and theology from Liberty University, Liberty University Baptist Theological Seminary, Practical Christianity Institute of Evangelism, and is continuing her studies at Christian Bible Institute and Seminary.

As co-founder and President of Victorious Living Bible Institute, Renae provides leadership to a growing global Bible institute committed to equipping believers through biblical education, leadership training, and personal development.

She is also the founder of Victorious Women Empowerment International and Always Sisters Mentoring, a mentoring initiative serving girls ages 8–18.

A Board-Certified Christian Counselor and Certified Life Coach, Renae holds certifications in anger management, parenting education, marriage enrichment, and related helping disciplines. Her mission is to teach, train, and transform lives through faith-based education, counseling, coaching, and discipleship.
