About The Upper Room Outreach Ministries, Inc.
Established in 2004, The Upper Room Outreach Ministries, Inc. is a non-denominational Christian ministry committed to outreach, evangelism, and spiritual transformation. Since transitioning to full-time outreach in 2009, the ministry has remained focused on reaching a lost, hurting, and dying world with the love and truth of Jesus Christ. Our mission centers on global evangelism, compassionate outreach, and promoting unity in the Body of Christ.
Leadership
Pastor Samuel Sellers III and Evangelist Renae Sellers were ordained and installed in 2013 by Apostle James H. Brown. In 2017, The Upper Room came under the spiritual oversight of Apostle Terry Weems, Sr. of Obadiah’s Ecclesiastical Alliance. Both leaders actively serve on the Board of Directors for the Woman at the Well Transition Center and are devoted to faith-based leadership, community service, and outreach.
Victorious Living Bible Institute (VLBI)
Founded on July 25, 2017, Victorious Living Bible Institute is an accredited Bible college affiliated with the Christian Bible Institute and Seminary. Dr. Renae Sellers serves as President. VLBI provides Christ-centered education, leadership training, and personal development to equip individuals for ministry and life.
About Samuel Sellers III, Sr. Pastor
Pastor Samuel Sellers is a dedicated pastor, counselor, and community leader with a lifelong commitment to serving God and others. He began his ministerial journey in 2008 and was ordained and installed as Pastor in 2013, marking a significant chapter in his pastoral leadership and service.
Pastor Sellers holds a strong educational foundation in theology and counseling, earning a Bachelors in Christian Counseling, a Masters in Biblical Christian Counseling, and a Doctorate in Theology. He is also a Board-Certified Christian Counselor through the National Association of Christian Counselors.
In 2017, Pastor Sellers co-founded Victorious Living Bible Institute (VLBI) alongside his wife, Dr. Renae Sellers. Under his leadership, VLBI has grown into a global faith-based educational institute, expanding internationally with the launch of VLBI Kenya in 2019. He is also co-founder of Mercy Seat International, a global outreach ministry serving underserved communities, particularly in Kenya.
Deeply committed to community outreach, Pastor Sellers regularly ministers in local jails and prisons and has a strong passion for youth development. His service and leadership have been recognized through numerous community and faith-based awards.
Above all, Pastor Sellers is a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He has been married to Renae Sellers for more than 20 years and continues to serve as a source of faith, hope, and inspiration to his family and the communities he serves.
About Renae Sellers, Ministering Elder
Renae Sellers is a purpose-driven leader, educator, counselor, and coach with a heart for helping individuals heal, grow, and live victoriously. Her work is rooted in faith and focuses on empowering people to walk confidently in their God-given purpose.
She holds a strong academic foundation in psychology and theology, with degrees from Liberty University and Liberty University Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Theology. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Christian Education.
In 2017, Renae co-founded Victorious Living Bible Institute (VLBI), where she serves as President, leading its growth into a global, non-denominational Bible institute dedicated to equipping believers for Kingdom service. She is also the founder of Victorious Women Empowerment International and Always Sisters Mentoring, serving girls ages 8–18.
A Board-Certified Christian Counselor and Life Coach, Renae also holds certifications in anger management, parenting education, and marriage enrichment. She is a community chaplain, author, and active servant-leader whose mission remains clear: to teach, train, and transform—helping individuals live victoriously in every area of life.
